Empowerment in Health Management

The eHälsomyndigheten (eHealth Authority) initiated an ambitious project called “Health for Me,”. Julia’s responsibilities encompassed concept development, UI/UX/Visual design, and ensuring the product’s accessibility in accordance with WCAG guidelines. The primary objective of this project was to create a comprehensive personal health account for users.
Through this platform, users could log in securely using BankID and consolidate their health information from a variety of sources, including medical records, health apps, and other external services. Additionally, the platform provided functionalities for users to gather and manage health data for their children. One of the key features of “Health for Me” was that it granted users complete control over their data. They had the autonomy to decide whether to share their information with others or keep it private, ensuring a high level of privacy and security.

However, the project faced several challenges. Integrating data from diverse sources required overcoming compatibility issues and ensuring seamless data synchronization. Additionally, maintaining high security standards to protect sensitive health information was paramount, necessitating robust encryption and authentication measures. Ensuring the platform’s accessibility for users with disabilities also posed a significant challenge, requiring meticulous adherence to WCAG guidelines.

Despite these challenges, the outcome was highly successful. The “Health for Me” platform received positive feedback from users for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive functionality. It empowered users to take control of their health information, leading to improved health management and better-informed healthcare decisions. The project also set a new standard for digital health services in Sweden, showcasing the potential of technology to enhance personal health management.
