Service for New Arrivals

BID concept

The goal is to develop an innovative concept for the Swedish Employment Agency (Arbetsförmedlingen) to efficiently map the skills and competencies of new arrivals in Sweden. This service aims to facilitate easier and more accurate job matching, ensuring that new arrivals can quickly integrate into the Swedish job market.

New arrivals can easily input their work experiences, educational background, and other relevant skills through an intuitive interface. Users can schedule appointments with employment advisors to discuss their profiles and receive personalized job matching assistance. The system uses advanced algorithms to analyze the input data and provide a detailed assessment of the individual’s competencies. The service is available in multiple languages to cater to the diverse backgrounds of new arrivals.

By accurately mapping skills, the service ensures that new arrivals are matched with job opportunities that best fit their qualifications and experiences. The streamlined process helps new arrivals find suitable employment more quickly, aiding their integration into Swedish society. Employment advisors can offer tailored advice and support based on the detailed skill assessments, improving the chances of successful job placements. The automated system reduces the workload on employment advisors, allowing them to focus on providing high-quality support to more individuals. As part of a Business Improvement District (BID), this initiative contributes to the overall economic growth and development of the community by ensuring that new arrivals are effectively integrated into the local workforce. Additionally, the service promotes social cohesion by helping new arrivals feel valued and supported, fostering a sense of belonging within the community.

In this BID an administrative interface concept was designed by Julia for employment advisors and administrators to provide tailored support efficiently.

Julia was responsible for the overall BID concept visual design and user interface (UI). Her contributions ensured that the service is not only functional but also user-friendly and visually appealing.
